John lives at Brownings Farm and will lead your visit. He is an associate lecturer in conservation and ecology at Brinsbury Agricultural college. John is passionate about ecology and conservation and is currently undertaking several bio-diversity projects at the farm.
I completed a BSc in Environmental Biology at University of London Wye College, followed by a PhD at the University of Surrey investigating environmental influences on the population ecology of amphibians in tropical forests.
Prior to joining UWE I worked in ecological consultancy on protected species, managed a biological station in the tropics, taught for the environmental charity Operation New World, and contracted for NGOs, universities, and statutory authorities.
At UWE I teach across ecology, biogeography, conservation and environmental themes.
